This stage passes quickly, and sitter sessions are the perfect way to capture your baby exploring, smiling, and discovering the world. I guide every moment so your little one feels comfortable, happy, and relaxed.
Sessions are flexible and unhurried, using soft, natural lighting and gentle guidance. Every pose, prop, and fabric is chosen to create timeless images you’ll treasure for years.

What to Expect During Your Sitter Session
Sitter sessions are designed to be relaxed, playful, and led by your baby’s personality. Whether they’re full of smiles or a little more reserved, I gently guide the session to capture natural, beautiful moments.
- Arrival & Settling: We take a few moments for your baby to get comfortable in the studio.
- Playful, Guided Posing: I use gentle prompts and interaction to encourage natural expressions and smiles.
- Simple, Timeless Styling: Neutral backdrops and soft textures keep the focus on your baby.
- Breaks as Needed: Sessions are flexible – we pause for cuddles, snacks, or comfort whenever needed.
- Parent Involvement: You’re always close by, helping your baby feel secure and happy.
- Final Selection: After your session, you’ll be invited to view and choose your favourite images.

Frequently Asked Questions – Sitter Sessions
Sitter sessions are such a fun stage to capture, but I know parents often have a few questions. Here are some of the most common, to help you feel confident and prepared.
What age is best for a sitter session?
Sitter sessions are ideal when your baby can sit confidently but isn’t yet crawling – usually around 6–9 months. This is when their personality really starts to shine.
What if my baby can’t sit unaided yet?
That’s absolutely fine. We can either wait until they are or I can gently support and guide poses safely, and we can still capture beautiful images at this stage.
What if my baby is unsettled on the day?
Sessions are completely baby-led. We take breaks, allow time to settle, and work around your baby’s mood to keep everything relaxed.
How long does a sitter session last?
Sessions are typically around 45–60 minutes, but I always allow flexibility so there’s no pressure.
What should my baby wear?
Simple, neutral outfits work best. I can guide you on styling, and I also have a selection of outfits and props available.
Can parents or siblings be included?
Yes, absolutely – we can include a few family images if you’d like, keeping everything natural and relaxed.
